Consumer hardware

Consumer product design and engineering, from sketch to production.

Product design, prototyping and DFM for consumer brands, product companies and founders. We have taken a crowdfunded desk light to backers and put a washdown-rated enclosure into production.

For first-time founders

We tell you what is hard before you pay for it.

The riskiest part of your product gets tested first, on the bench, before a full CAD model or a mold. You see cost, status and the timeline in your project portal.

  • 01Feasibility tests on the highest-risk feature first
  • 02Looks-like and works-like prototypes from our lab
  • 03DFM for injection molding, sheet metal and die-casting
  • 04Supplier quotes, vendor management and a production handoff

Questions

Before you reach out.

I only have an idea. Is that enough?

Yes. A few sentences and a sketch is enough for an estimate. The first phase turns the idea into something you can test.

Who owns the design?

You own the project work product. It is written into the scope of work before we start.

Can you help find a manufacturer?

Yes. We collect supplier quotes, review samples and manage vendors through the first production run.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. Check the NDA box on the estimate form and we sign before reading anything confidential.
